Rs2 bn Ramazan pkg being launched: Elahi

LAHORE: Senior Federal Minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi Sunday said Rs2 billion Ramazan package is being launched to provide relief to the common man, Geo News reported.

Addressing the office bearers of Utility Stores here at State Guest House, Elahi said special subsidy will be provided for 14 food items.

He said the timings of Utility Stores have been increased to facilitate the people ‘so that they don’t have to stand in long queues’.

With reference to making the Ramazan package a success, Pervez Elahi said rewards and promotions will be given on outstanding performance whereas a negligence will be matched with punishment.

He directed that all essential items be made available in abundance during the holy month of Ramazan in all the 5700 Utility Stores across the country.
