Turkey bombs north Iraq for third day: rebel spokesman

ARBIL: Turkish jets bombed bases in northern Iraq used by the separatist Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) for a third straight day on Friday, a rebel spokesman told AFP.

"The attacks started again this morning (Friday) against Qandil only," Dozdar Hammo said, referring to an area of north Iraq close to the border with Turkey.
