DC reviews arrangements ahead of Muharram

QUETTA: Deputy Commissioner Quetta city captain (retired) Tariq Zehri on Tuesday asked the QESCO and Metropolitan Corporation officials to take measures for ensuring best light facilities and sanitation to the Muharram processions.

He was chairing a meeting held to review the arrangements ahead of Muharram in the provincial capital here. Chief Metropolitan Corporation Abdul Rauf Zehri, QESCO and other officials were also present.

He directed the Metropolitan Corporation to ensure cleanliness and remove the encroachments in the way of Muharram processions.

"Search lights at all junctions fall in the way of Muharram procession be installed," he directed.

Zehri said that all-out efforts were being made to ensure peaceful conduct of the Muharram procession.
