ISLAMABAD: Federal Cabinet has convened meeting of Council of Common Interests (CCI) on February 09 to settle the issue of Drug Regulatory Authority (DRA) with the provinces, Geo News reported.
Briefing the media after the cabinet meeting, Information Minister Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the chief minister Punjab should play his constitutional role rather political. She said he should be self-accountable instead of pointing fingers at federal government.
Information Minister said the target of tax collection on petroleum prices was Rs120 billion in six month but only Rs20 billion were collected.
She said federal cabinet expressed concerns over hike in POL prices, adding that finance ministry informed that to increase prices was their compulsion.
