Punjab Finance Minister Rana Asif resigns, sources

LAHORE: Punjab Finance Minister Rana Asif has tendered resignation, Geo News cited sources as saying.

It may be noted here that opposition in the provincial assembly had demanded the speaker to suspend Rana Asif Mehmood’s membership on the basis of possessing dual nationality. He allegedly possess Canadian nationality as well.

Opposition legislator Samina Khawar Hayyat had also submitted a privilege motion about the Rana Asif.
