ISLAMABAD: Industrial Area Police Station on Thursday busted two criminal gangs red handed arresting 11 culprits involved in many criminal activities and also recovered weapons, ammunition, dagger, stolen goods worth Rs 50 million from their possession.

Police have registered the case and during the preliminary investigation they admitted their involvement in 16 unlawful activities.

According to police spokesman, SSP Islamabad police Muhammad Yusuf Malik on the directives of Inspector General Police Islamabad Binayamin Khan ordered all the police officers to initiate action against criminals in their respective jurisdictions.

As per directives of IGP, SP Industrial area, Muhammad Ishiq Warriach constituted a committee under the supervision of ASP industrial area Yasir Afridi, SHO industrial police station Muhammad Shafiq Mirza, head constable Ali Sher and constable Zahid Mehmood.

The team has arrested 11 criminal involved in street crime.

The criminal arrested including Akmal Hussain s/o Amir Hussain, Shahnaz Hussain Akhtar s/o Akhtar Musan Khan s/o of Gul Muhammad, Ali Memon s/o Haji Abdul Gahfoor, Waqir Ali s/o Zulfiqar Ali. The Police have recovered weapons used in the criminal activities.

During preliminary investigation they have confessed their involvement in 16 street crime activities. Further investigations are
under way and some sensational revelation is being expected. (APP)
