ISLAMABAD: The first round of talks between the PPP and the PML-N were held on Thursday. The two sides discussed the accountability bill during the meeting.
Speaking to the media, PPP leader Khursheed Shah said he wanted all future legislation to be based on consensus.
PML-N leader Ishaq Dar said the PPP had given some recommendations and his party would now deliberate on them. The accountability bill proposed by the PPP will be presented to the PML-N leadership.
Law Minister Farooq Naeek added that the proposed accountability bill was made with the expectations of all stakeholders in mind and would be approved after consensus.
