Karachi: Fire engulfs 5th floor of building

KARACHI: Thick smoke was billowing skywards and flames were dancing all over the place within minutes of a fire that broke out on one of the floors of a multistory building here on Tuesday, Geo News reported.

According to eyewitnesses, fire has engulfed the fifth floor of the Mehdi Tower located near Baloch Colony flyover.

Firemen who were called in as soon as the fire had erupted are fighting the fire with the help of snorkels, sources told Geo News.

The reason as to what caused the fire to break is yet to be established.

It must be mentioned that a similar fire had erupted in the same building back in 2008.
