Ryan Gosling treats Eva Mendes with 'special celebration' on her 50th birthday

Ryan Gosling made Eva Mendes’ 50th birthday celebration an affair to remember.

A source recently told PEOPLE that the Barbie actor turned his partner's milestone life event into an “amazing” celebration.

"She seemed very comfortable turning 50. Ryan constantly tells her she’s beautiful. He made her birthday very special," the insider spoke of the couple who share two daughters Esmeralda Amada and Amada Lee.

They added, "Eva and Ryan are truly such a happy couple. They’re very supportive of each other’s passions. They’re also grateful for the financial freedom their work gives them, and they’re all about family time."

According to the tipster, Ryan and Eva are “great at balancing everything.”

Last month, the actress talked about the “non-verbal agreement” she made with Ryan about raising their children.

When asked what it was like to quit acting to become a full-time mother, Eva told Today, “It was like a no-brainer. I'm so lucky, and I was like, if I can have this time with my children... and I still worked, I just didn't act because acting takes you on locations, it takes you away.”

“It was almost just like a non-verbal agreement that it was like, ‘Okay he's going to work and I'm going to work, I'm just going to work here,’” she spoke of her 13-year-old relationship with the Lala Land actor.
