PESHAWAR: US drone fired missiles in Pakistan’s tribal belt near Afghan border, killing at least five and injuring seven others, sources said on Wednesday.

The sources said that the drones targeted a residential compound in Babar Ghar area of South Waziristan.

Pakistan has long been protesting against the US drone strikes in its semi autonomous tribal region and termed them a violation of its sovereignty.
