Parents find young daughter dead on neighbour’s roof in Lahore

LAHORE: In a heart-wrenching incident in Lahore, parents of a three and a half year old daughter found their young child dead on the rooftop of a neighbour’s house on the night between Saturday and Sunday.

The parents of the innocent little child Arfa left her in bed sleeping before heading out to attend a religious program on Saturday night. When they returned late in the night, they found the girl missing. They searched for their young girl everywhere throughout the night but to no avail.

The next day Arfa’s dead body was found wrapped in a piece of sheet on the rooftop of a neighbour’s house.

Police have ruled out the possibility of abuse and assured that the culprits will soon be apprehended.

Evidence was collected with the help of mobile forensic lab and later Arfa’s body was sent for post mortem.

The incident has sent a wave of fear in the neighbourhood while the area residents have expressed lack of trust in the police.

They said a similar incident had taken place here three years ago in which a young boy was kidnapped and killed. Till today police have no clue as to who committed this crime, they regretted.
