Karachi: Three accused killed in police encounters

KARACHI: Three accused including gang war criminals were killed in police encounters that took place in two different areas, Geo News reported on Saturday.

According to police, an accused was killed when an exchange of fire took place between the accused and police in New Karachi Industrial Area. The culprits were involved in several robbery and snatching crimes. Two accused managed to escape from the scene.

The killed accused was identified as Ishaq while arms and snatched mobile phones were recovered from his possession.

SP Lyari Shah Nawaz Khan told that a raid was conducted in Chakiwara area in Lyari where the culprits opened fire on the police team. During the retaliatory firing by the police personnel, two gang war accused were killed who were identified as Danish and Danial. They belonged to the “Aziz Group” of Lyari gang war.

SP Lyari further told that a hand grenade and arms were recovered from their possession while the accused were also involved in extortion, kidnapping for ransom and other crimes.
