LAHORE: Pakistani off-spinner Saeed Ajmal spoke to reporters outside the National Cricket Academy after receiving good news that his bowling action had been cleared by the International Cricket Council (ICC).
Ajmal said he would make himself available for the Pakistan side when his bowling was in rhythm and he was in form.
“I have no intention of retiring and want to play 3-4 more years for Pakistan,” Ajmal said.
When asked if he would represent Pakistan in the World Cup in case of an injury to a player, Ajmal responded that this would only happen under the most extreme of circumstances.
The off-spinner said he would prepare himself for Pakistan’s next series against Bangladesh which will take place after the World Cup. “I want to play as many matches as possible so I can give good news to my fans of returning to international cricket.”
