SHAIKHUPURA: Inspector General Punjab, Haji Habib-ur-Rehman has said that a crackdown has been launched to unravel the network of terrorists in the province.

At a press conference here at the office of DPO Shaikhupura, Haji Habib-ur-Rehman expressed sorrow over the incidents of terrorism in Gujrat and Lahore, saying the policemen would protect the life and property of the people at any cost.

He said special teams of police had been formed to put a check on terrorist activities while renovation/construction work on 100 out of 750 police stations had been started.

The IG Police told the reporters that 15 percent women police stations would be established in the Punjab where only lady police personnel would be appointed.
