Prime Minister calls on President

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf called on President Asif Ali Zardari here at the Aiwan-e-Sadr on Tuesday night and discussed the current energy situation in the country.

The Prime Minister apprised the President about Tuesday's meeting of Energy Committee and his visit to the National Power Control Centre (NPCC) to ascertain the exact position of power generation and its distribution.

He briefed the President about the various measures taken at all levels to address the power issue on priority basis and to bring an end to the unscheduled electricity load-shedding in the holy month of Ramazan.

Overall political situation was also discussed during the meeting. (APP)
