KARACHI: The fire erupted once again in the garment factory in Baldia Town while rescue operation remained suspended in the night, Geo News reported.

Over 258 lives were lost in a horrific fire which engulfed the garment factory located in Baldia Town on Tuesday.

According to Edhi sources, around 217 dead bodies were brought at Edhi morgue where the identity of 137 has been confirmed. 107 bodies have been handed over to the heirs, the sources added.

At least 1,000 workers were present inside the factory at the time of the fire to receive their salaries.
