ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court three-member bench headed by the Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, after resuming the hearing of the Asghar Khan case, summoned the interior and defence secretaries immediately on Wednesday here, Geo News reported.
During the hearing Commander Shahbaz on behalf of the ministry of defence presenting the reply in the court said that there exists no political cell in ISI. The court directed to get this statement signed by the defence secretary.
Chief Justice in his remarks said that political cell existed in ISI according to the statement which was presented on June 26, 1997 in this case.
Later, the apex court summoning the interior and defence secretaries immediately went on a break.
