DSP son among 3 shot dead in Karachi

KARACHI: At least three people including a son of senior police official and close relative of PPP leader Nabeel Gabol were gunned down in different parts of Karachi on Tuesday, Geo News reported.

Police said that armed assailants opened fire on a vehicle in Defence Phase Five area, leaving Shahzaib seriously injured.

The injured was taken to a private hospital in Clifton where he succumbed to his wounds. The deceased was a son of Deputy Superintendent Police Orangzeb and a relative of Nabeel Gabol.

The officer claimed he knew who was behind the killing of his son.

Mr Gabol told Geo News that police had not reached the area despite being informed about the firing incident. He said that the police were sent in the area after he contacted Additional IG Karachi Iqbal Mehmood. A case has been registered into the murder.

According to Geo News two more people were gunned down in different parts of the metropolis.
