ISLAMABAD: Severe cold weather has blocked the link roads in the upper regions of the country that has added to the difficulties of the dwellers, Geo News reported on Tuesday.
According to the reports, snow has covered and blocked the roads in Gilgit-Baltistan while cold weather in Attaabad has frozen lakes and streams in the region. According to met department, the temperature in Skardu has dipped to the lowest of -17 degrees in the country. Malakand, Hazara, Azad Kashmir and tribal areas continue to suffer due to harsh weather.
Residents are facing tremendous difficulties due to blockage of roads and unavailability of gas. Adding to the problems is the sky rocketing prices of gas cylinders and wood for burning.
