CUTTACK: Pakistan was all out for 104 against New Zealand in the ICC Women’s World Cup being played at the Barabati Stadium on Sunday here, Geo News reported.
Green shirts winning the toss decided to bat, but the openers’ performance proved highly disappointing as Javeria Khan was sent back to pavilion, when Pakistan’s total score was paltry 11 and subsequently no formidable partnership could come up to say at the wicket that saw Pakistan crashing at 57 for six at one time. Asmavia Iqbal scoring 22, Bisma Maroof 20 runs remained prominent among Pakistani batsmen.
New Zealand’s Rachel Candy took 4 wickets, while Lucy Doolan and Nicola Browne 2 wickets each.
Pakistan had to face a defeat in its first match of the event against Australia by 91 runs.
