KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Faisal Sabzwari Thursday slammed Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) as Sindh assembly adopted a bill, withdrawing Sindh Peoples Local Government Ordinance (SPLGO) 2012.
Addressing a Sindh Assembly here, Faisal Sabzwari said that the provincial law minister had said that SPLGO was Sindh friendly and now they are of the view that the province could not prosper under the ordinance.
He expressed regret over the restoration of Local Government Act 1979, saying that it was declared a wrong act in the first place and now it has become the best.
The MQM leader said that it is very unfortunate that the majority in Sindh Assembly is either consisted of wrong or unjust people.
On the occasion, the MQM leaders protested in the assembly and staged walkout after Faisal Sabzwari’s speech.
