MUZZAFAR GARH: The interior minister, Rehman A Malik, Saturday warned the Punjab government to crack down on the terrorists involved in Quetta bombings otherwise FIA, Rangers, or other paramilitary forces might have to do the job, Geo News reported.
“I will mobilize one of these forces to swoop upon the militants concentrated in Punjab”, said he talking to media after attending MPA Mehar Irshad’s brother’s wedding feast.
He did laud Punjab government’s swift efforts in detaining Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat leader Malik Ishaq, but was not happy with the “house-arrest” he (Ishaq) was under.
“Malik Ishaq should have been shifted to jail”, Malik said.
Going forward, the interior minister invited outlawed Tehrik-eTaliban Pakistan, and Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ) militants to come to table.
“We are open to talks with the militant groups but for this they will have to first surrender at Islamabad’s D-Chowk (the square in front of the Parliament House)”, said Malik.
