ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Qamar Zaman Kaira Monday said that extremists and their advocate parties are once again uniting to forge an electoral alliance but claimed that People's Party would win again if fair elections were held.

Addressing a program organized by Desk Editors Forum, Kaira said the nation will have to make a choice between the supporters of terrorists and those who rendered sacrifices in the war against terrorism.

"We want to purge the country from the scourge of terrorism and we have succeeded in pulling ground from under the feet of terrorists," the Information Minister maintained.

He said the accord with Iran was not against any one but in the interest of Pakistan. "We have proved the accusations of bowing before world powers as false through agreements like Gwadar Port and gas pipeline projects," he said.

Qamar Zaman Kaira described the role of Transparency International as suspicious.
