Time period for scrutiny of nomination papers ends

ISLAMABAD: The election tribunals would hear petitions over appeals against acceptance or rejection of nomination papers from Monday as 7-day period for scrutiny of candidatures expired on Sunday (today).

The tribunals would decide the appeals by April 17 while the candidates might withdraw their candidacy by April 18 after that a revised list of the candidates would released by the Election Commission of Pakistan.

The general elections would be held on May 11 across the country.
