PESHAWAR: The Awami National Party (ANP) has decided to formally lodge a protest against the Election Commission’s decision to withdraw security of its candidates, sources said Saturday.

The sources said that ANP chief Asfandyar Wali Khan would write a letter to the ECP, apprising the electoral body of threats being faced by the candidates.

Mr Khan would also seek fool-proof security arrangements for the ANP candidates.
