KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) on Tuesday ordered to provide security to Chief of Muhajir Qaumi Movement-Haqeeqi (MQM-H) Afaq Ahmed for running the party’s electoral campaign, Geo News reported.

Afaq Ahmed had filed a petition claiming that the court had ordered security for him but Police didn’t implement the orders, adding that he is being restricted to run campaign.

On Afaq's petition, Station House Officer (SHO) and District Superintendent of Police (DSP) recorded the statement that security would be provided to the MQM-H chief for his electoral campaign.

Court remarked that complete security must be ensured to Afaq Ahmed's electoral campaign as only few days are left to elections.
