KARACHI: After a painstaking search of three hours, the police finally traced the site of a powerful blast, which rocked Defence Housing Authority (DHA) area here on Wednesday night, Geo News reported.

Without giving further details the police said the loud bang heard across Karachi’s one of swishest areas around 09:00 PM was caused by an explosion inside a bungalow in Khayaban-e-Ghazi, DHA Phase VI.

The nature of the blast will come to fore after Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) completes its forensic report.

According to eyewitnesses the blast shattered almost all the windowpanes of the bungalow

Earlier, however, SSP Clifton Nasir Aftab had denied any explosion took place in the area.
