ISLAMABAD: The Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) expressed his displeasure over remarks made by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Jehangir Tareen. During proceedings of the NA122 case in Islamabad the CEC said the legal counsels are responsible for delays but allegations are hurled at the election commission.

The CEC remarked that 95 percent of cases are delayed because of the lawyers, adding that a final hearing will be held on the 19th of January when statements and arguments will be heard and the verdict will be decided.
