ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has nominated six accused including two former prime ministers Yousuf Raza Gilani and Raja Pervez Ashraf in its reference filed in an accountability court in the OGRA scam case.

According to the reference, a copy of which is available with Geo News, the NAB has prayed that the accused be awarded punishment after a trial.

The reference said that former prime minister Gilani deliberately appointed Raja Pervez Ashraf, then water and power minister, as in-charge of OGRA’s selection committee.

It said Ashraf recommended incompetent Tauqir Sadiq as OGRA chairman. The reference said that Cabinet Division’s Sikandar Hayat deliberately hid Sadiq’s incompetence, enabling him to appear before interview committee.
