ISLAMABAD: Government committee member Rahimullah Yousafzai said Saturday the Taliban had been communicated to stop terrorist attacks otherwise the government would face increased pressure to launch a military operation.

In an interview to Geo News, Yousafzai said the government committee would not listen to the unconstitutional demands of the Taliban.

Yousafzai added the talks had to be successful in order to avert a military operation. According to Yousafzai even the military wanted the dialogue process to be successful.

The government committee member told Geo News the ceasefire agreement with the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) would be on the basis of the banned organisation ensuring all its factions abide by it.
