MULTAN: Head of the Taliban negotiating committee, Maulana Samiul Haq said the meeting with the government committee will be held on Friday.
Speaking to reporters here, Maulana Sami expressed hope that government committee will travel with them to Waziristan.

Maulana Samiul Haq urged Defence Minister Khawaja Asif to remain silent as the dialogue process was being conducted with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan. He added that there should not be an emphasis on a military operation as the results would be disastrous.

Maulana Sami added the Taliban had to face horrific consequences in the past for holding peace talks within Pakistan’s boundaries.

Earlier, Maulana Samiul Haq said discussions were underway to finalise the location of the meeting between the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and the government committee.

According to Maulana Samiul Haq the government committee did not want to visit Waziristan for talks, while the Taliban did not want to hold dialogue inside government buildings.
