KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief, Altaf Hussain demanded that Sindh be handed over to his party if its division was not acceptable.

Addressing to Sindhi speaking workers of the MQM, he said that some elements were adopting the divide and rule policy in Sindh. Altaf Hussain said that there would be no division in Sindh if 10 more provinces were carved out of it.

He said that all the permanent citizens of Sindh are owners of the land and they would jointly protect their territory.

“Why do you consider me a stranger when I was born and brought up in Sindh,” he said, adding that his life and death was linked with Sindh.

Altaf Hussain said that he would try to learn Sindhi language. “I can commit a mistake but I don’t speak lies deliberately,” he added.
