Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday extended birthday greetings to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
“Birthday wishes to Pakistan PM Mr. Nawaz Sharif. I pray for his long and healthy life," Modi tweeted.
Last year, Narendra Modi had made a surprise fly-by visit to Lahore to meet Nawaz Sharif on the occasion of the prime minister’s birthday and the wedding of his granddaughter – a move that had drawn criticism on both sides of the border.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was born on December 25, 1949.
