CARDIFF: Pakistan's fast bowling attack is emerging as one of the most lethal bowling attacks once again with Hassan Ali, Junaid Khan and Mohammad Aamir continue to create trouble for opponents.

Many say that the bowling attack reminds them of 90s era, may be too early to compare the current pace attack with greats of 90s, but they are clearly heading towards the right direction.

After Pakistan's win against England in the semifinal of ICC Champions Trophy, left-arm fast bowler Junaid Khan spoke about Pakistan's fast bowling attack and credited the bowling coach Azhar Mahmood for the success.

"Azhar's coaching has made a great impact, we have not only controlled extras but fast bowlers have also started taking wickets and all the fast bowlers are doing good," said Junaid.

The 27-year-old, who has made a good comeback to Pakistan team, said Azhar has helped him a lot in making his comeback successful.

"You need a good number of matches when you are making a comeback which I'm getting. Along with that, our bowling coach Azhar Mahmood has been working hard on me as he's aware of the conditions here and also know about my bowling strength as he has seen me in county cricket here," Junaid said.

"My pace has also improved but I am happy that I have also regained my control over swing," he added.

Junaid said that he is happy to be wearing Pakistan's jersey once again, brushing aside reports that he was ever thinking of quitting Pakistan and opt for any other international team.

"Pakistan was always my priority, I felt dejected after being dropped but then Wasim bhai and others helped me to keep my confidence alive," he said.

The pacer from Swabi feels that Fakhar Zaman is a very good batsman and can serve Pakistan cricket for long, according to Junaid, Fakhar is a good replacement of Sharjeel Khan.

"I have known Fakhar Zaman for so long and we have played for region together as well, he's a very good batsman and an aggressive one which Pakistan needs, especially after the unfortunate loss of Sharjeel Khan," he said.

Junaid now has eyes set on the final of ICC Champions trophy and lifting the trophy at The Oval on Sunday.

"Our eyes are now on winning the final, doesn't matter whom are we facing. Most of our boys know the conditions of the Oval so it would be a good contest," he said.
