Ranked eighth in the world, Pakistani bowlers and batsmen outclassed the Indian team, beating them by a massive 180 runs to lift the Champions Trophy 2017.
Paceman Hasan Ali received the Golden Ball and the Player of the Tournament award, picking up three wickets in this match and becoming leading wicket-taker in the Champions Trophy 2017.
India had won the toss and elected to bowl first, but the Pakistani batsmen, led by Fakhar Zaman with a brilliant century and fifties by Azhar Ali and M. Hafeez, set a target of 339 for India, the highest by any side in the tournament.
