Zakat Nisab fixed at Rs41,872

KARACHI: State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has fixed the Nisab for deduction of Zakat on bank accounts at Rs41,872 for the year 1434 A.H, Geo News reported.

The Zakat would be deducted from the accounts having a balance of Rs41,872 or above, on first Ramazan.

As the law of land, 2.5 per cent Zakat would be deducted from the saving accounts, however, current accounts are exempted from this.
