ISI HQ visit: PM stresses intelligence sharing
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif spent over five hours at the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) headquarters here on Thursday.

The prime minister was briefed by ISI officials including Director General Lt General Zaheerul Islam on security matters, terrorism and the situation at the Pak-Afghan border. PM Sharif stressed increasing coordination between intelligence agencies and directed that the Prime Minister Office be updated on matters of national importance.

According to sources, it was decided during the meeting that the Interior Ministry would act as a coordinator among intelligence agencies.

PM Nawaz was accompanied by Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif, PM’s Advisor on Foreign Affairs and National Security Senator Sartaj Aziz, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and some other ministers.
