Minister rejects opposition’s objection over date of presidential polls
ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Senator Pervaiz Rasheed on Wednesday said that nobody should raise objection to the supreme court verdict regarding presidential election's schedule.

Talking to media men here at National Press Club (NPC), the minister said that due to 27th of Ramazan and special prayers it was difficult to vote on that day.

He said it would have been difficult to get up early and come to vote the very next day of 27th Ramazan's night.

He said several PPP members would also get benefit from change of election date. He expressed the hope that the PPP would take part in presidential elections.

The minister said that Pakistan Muslim League (N) will not take part in voting process during no confidence motion in the AJK assembly.

He added Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif issued directives in this regard and PML-N would follow the directives.

He said that only the masses should have the right to remove the governments through the power of ballot.
