PML-Q, PTI boycott meeting convened to deliberate LG system bill

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Monday boycotted the meeting of special committee formed to deliberate on Punjab Local Government bill, Geo News reported.

Talking to the members of assembly, Deputy Parliamentary Leader of PML-Q Sardar Waqas Hussain said that members of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Jamat-e-Islami (JI) would not be able to attend this meeting, convened on such a short notice, as they had gone to their hometowns due to Eid and 27th Ramzan.

He further said that originally it was decided that the meeting would be held on August 13 and opposition would attend the meeting on the said date.
