PM Nawaz to address the nation at 8 PM tonight
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif will address the nation tonight at 8:00 P.M.

In his first address to the nation the Prime Minister is expected to take the nation into confidence on measures taken to address core issues plaguing the country.

Sources add, that the prime minister's speech was to be recorded this afternoon, but due to changes in the PM's program - who will be arriving Islamabad from Lahore today - his address will now be recorded in Islamabad and will be aired tonight.

In his maiden address after assuming the office of Prime Minister for the third time, the premier is likely to touch upon major problems confronting the nation including the energy crisis, the law and order situation, the country’s role in the war on terror and some key foreign policy matters.

It is expected that the PM will also inform the nation about measures taken by his government to bring improvement in these areas.

Ahead of the address, the Prime Minister held a meeting with the Chief of Army Staff, General Ashfaq Pervez Kiyani and discussed issues terrorism in the country as well as the war on terror.
