Oil prices edge higher on upbeat manufacturing data

SINGAPORE: Oil prices climbed in Asian trade Friday as upbeat manufacturing data from around the world fuelled hopes of firmer global demand, analysts said.
New York's main contract, West Texas Intermediate for delivery in October, rose 15 cents to $105.18 in mid-morning trade, and Brent North Sea crude for October added 41 cents to $110.31.
