Punjab Assembly passes resolution against drone attacks
LAHORE: The Punjab Assembly on Friday passed a unanimous resolution condemning the drone attacks on Pakistani soil and demanding the prime minister to play an effective role to end terrorism in the country, Geo News reported.

Provincial Law Minister Rana Sanaullah presented the resolution against the drone attacks during the Punjab Assembly session today. After the assembly rules were relaxed, the resolution was allowed to be presented.

The declaration stated that drone attacks violate the fundamental human rights and are against humanity. Such assaults can affect the Pakistan-US ties.

The resolution demanded an effective role of the prime minister to prevent the drone attacks on the country’s soil and to root out terrorism.

Hence, the Punjab Assembly approved the resolution unanimously.
