Water level rise at Aqil Agani Loop embankment submerges 170 villages in Larkana
LARKANA: At least 170 villages were submerged with the surge in water pressure at Aqil Agani Loop embankment here, Geo News reported on Sunday.

Following breach in Bakhtiari embankment at Head Panjnad in river Chenab, several areas went under water.

Flood Control Centre said that the water flow at Head Panjnad in river Chenab was recorded at 3,00,000 cusecs and with the increase in Bakhtiari embankment the adjoining villages were inundated. As a result the flood relief camp set up at Bakhtiari village was shifted to Bangla Mastoi.

A large number of people living in the kacha areas have evacuated their flooded houses, while the government has set up 45 relief camps for the uprooted 25,000 flood-hit persons.
