Police taking indiscriminate action to restore peace in Karachi: AIG
KARACHI: Additional Inspector General Police (AIG) Karachi, Ghulam Qadir Thebo has said that police were taking indiscriminate action to restore peace in the port city, Geo News reported.

Addressing a press conference here Tuesday, Ghulam Qadir Thebo said situation in Karachi was under control.

The AIG said police were also being targeted in Karachi, adding 119 police officers had been killed during the current year in the metropolis. Police were also facing difficulties here, he added.

Thebo said Karachi is the city of 20 million people and killing of a few is not a big deal. People are killed in targeted killings besides incidents of personal enmity, he said.

The police chief accepted the presence of large quantity of arms in Karachi.
