Accused jailed for 17 years in extortion case

KARACHI: An anti terrorism court on Friday announced the verdict in extortion case according to which the accused will spend the next seventeen years of their life in prison, Geo News reported.

The court has sentenced the two culprits named Faisal and Abdul Rehman to seventeen years imprisonment as they were facing extortion charges.

According to the verdict, the accused face ten years imprisonment each over extortion charges and seven years for possessing illegal arms.

It may be mentioned that police had arrested the culprits when they reached to collect extortion money of one million rupees from a trader.
