Sindh CNG stations shut for 2 days
KARACHI: Filling stations of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) closed across the province of Sindh for two days from 8.00am Tuesday to same time on Thursday, according to an announcement of Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC).

Meanwhile, Sindh CNG Association resenting the unwarranted decision of SSCG has announced observing strike on Thursday, which definitely will further add to the miseries of the general public, as CNG stations will remain closed for four days under SSGC schedule and strike declared on the fifth day i.e. for five days during the week.

All Pakistan CNG Association president Sameer Gulzar said that they have given a call for strike on Thursday as a protest against four days official closure of CNG pumps and inflated electricity bills.

On the other hand, transporters have also announced observing strike on Thursday in support of the CNG Association’s demands.

The closure of CNG, a low lost fuel used by thousands of private vehicles and 80 percent passenger buses, increases the difficulties of commuters, mostly those who travel by public transport.

During the CNG-less days, the transporters run fewer buses which add to the hardships of students, office goers, daily wagers and others, as they are already facing difficulties due to inadequate and insufficient number of public transport.
