Fazlur Rehman says, some powers want to sabotage talks with Taliban
DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman Wednesday said that some powerful coteries wanted to sabotage the talks with Taliban, Geo News reported.

After casting his vote in the Tank-D.I. Khan NA-25 by-poll, Maulana Fazlur Rahman said that incidents like Upper Dir should not impede the talks. He said that both the government and Taliban should keep an eye on elements out to subvert the talks and added that goodwill action like the release of Gomal Zam abductees should also be kept in view along with Upper Dir incident.

He said that the leaderships of the political parties and the army collectively gave the mandate to the government for talks and this should now be carried out.
