Earthquake: CM Balochistan appeals world organizations for help

QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan Dr Abdul Malik Baloch has said that 25,000 families were affected in earthquake in the province, Geo News reported.

Addressing a press conference here Tuesday, Dr Malik said they did not have resources to reconstruct the houses of quake victims. He appealed to the international organizations to help in rehabilitation work.

The Chief Minister said three districts of Awaran were badly hit by the quake, adding relief and rescue activities were underway in Awaran and other areas.

He informed that 27,000 food packets, 25,000 tents have been dispatched to the affected areas. Such activities would continue till the complete rehabilitation of the affectees. Around 52 doctors were serving in these areas, he added.
