IHC orders PCB chairman’s elections on November 2
ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has ordered to hold election for the chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board on November 2.

IHC’s Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui also heard the contempt of court case against PCB’s caretaker chairman Najam Sethi.

During the session the court remarked that it disagreed with the Election Commission that it did not have the mandate to hold elections of the PCB.

PCB’s attorney handed over the electoral list to the council of the Election Commission.

The court also ordered that the EC must announce the schedule of the PCB chairman’s election today.

Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui said that Najam Sethi was no longer the caretaker chairman of the PCB after 18 October.

The PCB council in reply said that the Prime Minister had made an interim committee to look after PCB affairs.

The IHC declared that after the 2nd November elections the interim committee would be rendered invalid.
