Police arrest petrol station robbery gang in Karachi

KARACHI: The Special Investigation Unit (SIU) conducted a raid on an apartment situated in North Karachi and arrested the head of a gang along with two aides involved in looting petrol stations and attacking them with hand grenades, Geo News reported Monday.

According to SIU SSP Mohammad Farooq Awan, a raid was conducted on a flat in North Karachi today during which a gangster along with his two assistants was apprehended. They were reported to be involved in robbing several petrol pumps and attacking them with grenades.

SSP Farooq Awan told that the culprits were identified with the help of CCTV footage recorded at one of the looted petrol pumps. Geo News has got access to the footage that led to the arrest of the criminals today.

A hand grenade, four TT pistols and two repeaters were seized from their possession.
